So this morning we woke up and made our way to the airport. Our flight left for Vienna from Frankfurt at about 11:20. We got to Vienna, got our car, then drove to our hotel. We've recently become gold members of Starwood Hotels, and it definately paid off. We used points to get this room, and they upgraded us for being gold members. This room is huge. The hotel is wonderful, Hotel Bristol. After arriving we decided to enjoy the room and spend some time napping and relaxing. We'll make the most out of this since it's just for one night.

The hotel is right across the street from the opera house. So we walked over after checking in and grabbed some photos. I believe there is a photo of Johanna and me in front of this same fountain 9 years ago, almost to the day! We also passed by the Hertz office that we rented a car at 9 years ago. I remember that block pretty well, it's only a few minutes from our hotel here.

After our naps and laziness we went out for a bite to eat. This restaurant was listed in the tour book we had, plus it was close. We had a good meal. Shortly after finishing this man came over to pay music. Maya had a blast dancing with Miranda in the background. She didn't want him to leave!
After leaving the restaurant it started to rain. The storm got pretty bad. Thankfully our hotel was close so we got back only getting a little wet. I decided to open up the window in our room and try to grab some photos of the lightning. This is the best one I got. It's about 10 PM here right now, the lightning definately brightens the sky a bit.
Thats it for day 4. We are going to get up and spend a bit more time exploring Vienna in the morning. Then we're going to drive to Bratislava, Slovakia. Try to get there in time for a meal with a few hours to check it out. Then we'll continue on to Budapest. We're going to try to get in around 7 or 8 in the evening. Can't wait to get there, and continue on with part 2 of the vacation!
