World Cup 2006 Photos Day 5

So today we slept a bit before heading out into Vienna. We needed some rest after a few long days. Plus with the posh room, seemed like a great idea. We headed out to visit this church. The name is escaping me at the moment.

Here is another view. Why 2 photos from the outside you ask? Cause we couldn't get inside. It was closed due to construction work.

Right outside the church was this playground. Maya saw the swings and had to go at it. We decided to let her relax some and have fun. She was due for some play time.

We decided to head back to the hotel and check out after Maya played for a bit. We then jumped in the car and headed to Bratislava. It's about 45 minutes from Vienna. Turns out it's very difficult to navigate. We eventually figured out how to get up to the castle and here we are!

All over the countryside you can see these wind powered guys. They seem to be everywhere in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary. I was impressed. These are seen from the castle.

Glorious Bratislava. After finding out we couldn't get into the castle cause we needed some Slovakian cash, we skipped the downtown and headed straight to Budapest. We were also scared we'd get lost. We did enjoy walking around the grounds though. Maya got to run around all over.

After crossing over into Hungary we got some hungarian cash. Facinating looking isn't it? We then had a bite to eat just over the border. Then we drove on to Budapest.

It took us a while to find the hotel, in fact the B&B folks met us at a street and let us follow them the final few blocks. It was very confusing. Thankfully I had my cell phone and their number. We decided to just grab a meal and relax tonight. So no photos from Budapest yet. Though it's night time now and I can see the Parliment from the window where I am sitting right now. It looks wonderful and I can't wait to get photos over the next few days here.
