World Cup 2006 Photos Day 8

We're in the home stretch and we're all getting a bit tired. We took today even slower than yesterday. We knew we'd need to give Maya a chance to get a nice nap, so we really only went out for half the day. Plus there were some good football matches on later to watch anyway. A problem here, things are pretty spread out. If we go somewhere, it's hard not to be gone all day. Coming back to the hotel and going back out is difficult. This makes it hard to get nap times in. Thats why today we decided to make that a priority. We're hoping thats the insurance we'll need to get through the last few days. On the way to the baths I decided to grab a photo of Maya with Screetch with the Parliment in the back. Perhaps we'll email it to the nationals, let them know where he's been.

While walking along the river to get to the baths I decided to grab another photo. This building is just magnificant and can be seen from lots of places around the city. Right now for instance, looking out the window in the B&B I can see the dome. Pretty incredible.

With all the rest we've gotten, it's been a slow photo day. This was a fountain in the park that we went to. It wasn't spectacular, but Maya enjoyed it. Plus the water was set to music as it changed how large it was and how it sprayed.

Here are the baths. Maya and Miranda had fun. I sat at the edge with my legs in. I wasn't that interested in getting in myself, it wasn't deep, I just thought hanging at the edge was good enough for me.

More of them having fun.

This is the fountain at the entrance to the baths.

Here is a good shot of most of the complex. There are more pools to the right, but this was the main area we hung out in.

Since I didn't have that many photos today, I decided to include one from a few days ago. These were these gals who were hanging outside the stadium after the World Cup match. They couldn't walk very far before people would stop them to get a photo. I did not get a photo with me, but this was good enough.

Thats it for today. We're probably going to grab dinner soon and try to sleep fairly early. Tomorrow will be a long day since it's our last in Budapest. We still have to visit the castle district up the hill behind our B&B. That along with random roaming to make sure we've got the city covered will make for a long day.
